Working Together to Build Resilience and Reduce Stress (International Stress Awareness Day 2022)

Most people find that they experience stress in their daily lives. Stress is a prevalent concern among the general population, with over 35 percent of people having reported experiencing it worldwide.

Although some degree of stress can be useful as it energizes and motivates us, prolonged and unmanaged stress can be detrimental to our mental and physical health and place additional strain on relationships. Stress, left unchecked, can contribute to physical health problems, such as high blood pressure, heart disease, and obesity. Continued stress can also lead to mental disorders, such as depression, anxiety, and burnout.
