Tackling Negative Thoughts Associated with Trauma (Ukraine War)

We have access to social media, newspapers, and the news 24/7, which means we overconsume often negative, distressing, and worrying information relating to war and trauma. This can have a significant negative impact on our mental health and wellbeing. During times of confusion or crisis, clear and concise communication is extremely important in order to keep people calm and remove any unnecessary stress. This session aims to provide ways to limit consumption of negative and distressing information and practical ways to deal with negative thoughts.

Learning Objectives

  • Learn how to gain control over negative thoughts and turn them into neutral or positive ones.
  • Help to conquer unhealthy and unhelpful habits.
  • Establish positive ways to stay optimistic during a time of crisis.
  • Learn how to apply practical strategies to disrupt negative thoughts.
