Anthem EAP, here when you need us. Life is full of challenges, and we could all use a little help from time to time. An employee assistance program, or EAP, provides quick and easy access to confidential consultations and resources, helping you tackle daily challenges. Anthem EAP provides personalized solutions via counseling, legal consultation, financial consultation, ID monitoring and recovery, emotional well-being resources, dependent care, website resources, and crisis consultation. Let's start with the basics. The EAP is free. Your employer covers it at no cost to you. It's completely private and confidential. The EAP is here for you 24 hours, seven days a week, 365 days a year. As an employee, you and your household members are eligible for the EAP without even having to sign up. You can use it right now. By the way, your household members don't have to be on your insurance or even be related. If they live with you, they can use your EAP too. Members can connect with the EAP via an assigned toll-free number, or by visiting the EAP website, where you could live chat with an EAP representative 24/7. Anthem EAP offers counseling and digital tools to support your emotional well-being, and a full suite of work and life resources to help you live life to the fullest. You have a set number of counseling sessions available per issue per year. But what does per issue mean? Life can present multiple challenges in a year. For example, if you seek counseling for parenting challenges in March and you use your sessions, you can still access new sessions in October for a different issue such as managing stress from a job promotion. Each distinct issue grants you a new set of sessions regardless of the time between them. With EAP, there is no deductible or copay, visits are confidential, and you may be able to transition your medical plans benefits when EAP visits are completed. You and your household members can meet with a network counselor via face-to-face video visit, in-office, or text. Simply call your assigned toll-free number to speak with an EAP representative, and you will receive an email with information about your counseling referral. Alternatively, you could visit the EAP website. From there, select Find a Counselor. Here you will find both telehealth and in-person counseling options. Click on each tab and tile to learn more about the EAP counseling services that best fit your needs. Let's explore how to access in-office counseling services. Create or sign into your account on the EAP website, select Find a Counselor, and this time select In-person options. Search for and connect with the provider to schedule your appointment. You can search using keywords that are relevant to your situation such as anxiety, depression, or relationship. Enter your zip code and select a provider that looks like the right fit for you. Contact the provider to schedule an appointment. Let them know that you're using your Anthem EAP benefit, and give them your member reference number, MRN, which you can find in the upper right corner of your screen. Reach out to the EAP once you've scheduled your first appointment, and they'll take it from there. Need help finding a mental health counselor? Call your EAP directly and a representative can help you. Anthem EAP offers emotional well-being resources administered by Learn to Live, an online program based on cognitive behavioral therapy to address specific mental health needs. After an initial assessment, you'll receive a recommended program that you can start at your own pace. The assessment will direct you to which self-paced program best fits you. Examples include modules to help you with depression, anxiety, insomnia, or resilience. Additionally, you can connect with a Learn to Live master's level coach for guidance and support throughout your program at no cost. Coaches offer encouragement and answer questions via weekly email, text, or phone call. And be sure to explore Quick Breaks, short bite-sized exercises to help your overall well-being. Anthem EAP provides consultation with an attorney to help you with everything from estate planning, civil issues, divorce, custody, consumer issues, and criminal concerns. You can have one consultation without any cost to you, and continued services may be offered at a discounted rate from the attorney's usual hourly rate and flat fee services. This is a per issue per 12-month period benefit. Anthem EAP also provides consultation with a financial professional to help you with everything from debt and credit card management to saving for education and retirement to life event planning, such as buying a home. And you can utilize identity monitoring and theft resolution services through IDnotify. Your EAP can help with work-life matters by providing consultation and resources for any dependent care need from daycare centers to nursing homes and other caregiver support. In addition, Anthem EAP also provides a discount shopping program, offering discounts up to 25% on name brand, every day, and luxury items. There are a multitude of digital resources at your fingertips on the EAP website. Take an assessment to learn more about yourself, resources available to you, and content specific to your area of interest. Lastly, let's explore wellness topics. Here, you can search by topic to find resources in the form of articles, podcasts, videos, and FAQs. Don't wait for a small issue today to grow into a larger and more complicated one tomorrow. Make your mental health and work-life balance a priority. Contact your EAP today to get started.
