Anthem MAP, brought to you by the Family Medical Care Plan, here when you need us. Life is full of challenges and we can all use a little help from time to time. A Member Assistance Program, or MAP, provides quick and easy access to confidential consultations and resources, helping you tackle daily challenges. Anthem MAP provides personalized solutions via counseling, legal consultation, financial consultation, identity protection and recovery, emotional wellbeing resources, dependent care resources, and website resources. Let's start with the basics. The MAP is offered at no cost to the participant. It's private and confidential. The MAP is here for you 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. As a FMCP participant, you and your household members are eligible for the MAP without even having to sign up. You can use it right now. Members can connect with the MAP via a dedicated toll-free number at 844-509-1470, or by visiting anthemeap.com/fmcp where you can live-chat with an MAP representative 24/7. Anthem MAP offers counseling and digital tools to support your emotional wellbeing and a full suite of work and life resources to help you live life to the fullest. You have four counseling sessions available per issue per 12-month period. But what does per issue mean? Life can present multiple challenges in a year. For example, if you seek counseling for parenting challenges in March and you use your sessions, you can still access new sessions in October for a different issue, such as managing stress from a job promotion. Each distinct issue grants you a new set of sessions regardless of the time between them. With MAP, there is no deductible or copay, and all visits are confidential. You and your household members can meet with a network counselor via in-office, face-to-face video visit, or through asynchronous messaging using Talkspace. You can simply call your Member Assistance Program's toll-free number to speak with a representative who will offer to find a provider for you. If you prefer, they can send you information on providers in your area who you can call to schedule an appointment. You'll simply call the MAP back to report the name of your provider and your first appointment date. They'll send the authorization for your sessions directly to the provider. Alternatively, you can access counseling services through the MAP website. If you've never used the site before, you'll start by creating an account. If you already have an account, simply sign in, and FMCP members can also log in using their Sydney app credentials. Once you're logged in, you'll see your member reference number, or MRN, in the upper right corner. You'll use this number to confirm your eligibility when scheduling with the provider. From the Home screen, select Find a Counselor. This is where you'll see the three different pathways available for receiving counseling support: Headway expanded network FMCP members have access to Headway's expanded network of mental health professionals. This gives you an extensive selection of providers to choose from, with both virtual and in-person options. Headway is designed for ease and convenience. You'll use their online platform to browse counselor bios, compare specialties, filter by preferences like gender or focus area, and schedule directly with the provider who feels like the best fit for you. Most members are able to see a therapist within three days or less, making this one of the fastest ways to begin care. Community providers through Anthem MAP If you prefer to see someone within your local community, Anthem MAP can assist you in finding an in-network provider for either in-person or telehealth sessions. This is a great option if you want support navigating choices or if you're looking for a provider near your home or workplace. Talkspace virtual behavioral health FMCP participants also have access to virtual counseling sessions through Talkspace at no cost to the participant. Talkspace connects you with licensed therapists through online therapy you can do from home on your schedule. FMCP's partnership with Talkspace includes four 30-minute live therapy sessions per month for you and your covered dependents age 13 and older. In addition, you get unlimited messaging support through text, audio, or picture messages, plus access to webinars. This option is ideal if you prefer a fully virtual experience or need flexibility throughout the week. Anthem MAP offers emotional wellbeing resources administered by Learn to Live, an online program based on cognitive behavioral therapy to address specific mental health needs. After an initial assessment, you'll receive a recommended program that you can start at your own pace. The assessment will direct you to which self-paced program best fits you. Examples include modules to help you with depression, anxiety, insomnia, or resilience. Additionally, you can connect with a Learn to Live master's level coach for guidance and support throughout your program at no cost. Coaches offer encouragement and answer questions via weekly email, text, or phone call. And be sure to explore Quick Breaks, short bite-sized exercises to help your overall wellbeing. Anthem MAP provides a 30-minute consultation with an attorney to help you with everything from estate planning, civil issues, divorce, custody, consumer issues, and criminal concerns. You can have one consultation without any cost to you, and continued services may be offered at a discounted rate from the attorney's usual hourly rate and flat-fee services. This is a per issue per 12-month period benefit. Anthem MAP also provides unlimited telephonic consultation with a financial professional to help you with everything from debt and credit card management, saving for education and retirement, and life event planning, such as buying a home. Identity protection through Norton LifeLock Premier Plus benefit is provided at no cost to the participant. Identity theft can be a significant concern, and LifeLock helps protect FMCP participants from the financial fallout and stress of having your identity stolen. Through FMCP's partnership, participants receive identity alerts with credit monitoring, device security, Norton Secure VPN, Parental controls, $1 million protection package, and cyber crime coverage, helping you safeguard your personal information and maintain peace of mind. The primary member must enroll first. Then dependents can be added to their household account. Your MAP can help with work-life matters by providing consultation and resources for dependent care needs from day care centers to nursing homes, along with other caregiver support options. In addition, Anthem MAP also provides a discount shopping program, offering discounts up to 25% on name brand, everyday, and luxury items. There are a multitude of digital resources at your fingertips on the MAP website. Take an assessment to learn more about yourself, resources available to you, and content specific to your area of interest. Let's explore wellness topics. Here you can search by topic to find resources in the form of articles, podcasts, videos, and FAQs. Lastly, FMCP resources directs you to the section of the FMCP website where you can access vendor partner contact information, your summary plan description, the participant portal, FAQs, and additional information about your benefits. Don't wait for a small issue today to grow into a larger and more complicated one tomorrow. Make your mental health and work-life balance a priority. Contact your MAP today to get started.
