Providing Compassionate Support to Refugee Hosts
Almost four million people from Ukraine have become refugees since the conflict began. Thousands of selfless and benevolent people have offered their homes as refugee shelters to support those in need. This seminar explores how we can give back to those people, to support them with heartfelt compassion that they so readily demonstrate towards others.
Compassion is proactive; it goes beyond emotion and into action. The aim of this session is to provide practical and tangible ways you can support those who are providing essential emergency accommodation. This session will help individuals to
- Understand and acknowledge the severity of the crisis and the need to support refugees
- Explore practical ways to help hosts navigate the change process
- Learn practical ways to support others using emotional intelligence
- Identify ways to use connection and compassion to create strong foundations
